The Lätzsch festival was a wonderful experience for me. I had the chance to spend some time with colleagues from my surrounding, as well as to meet trombonists from all over the world. I had great time with having lessons with Csaba Wagner and being able to meet him in person and enjoy his great musicianship expand my view on music. Hearing him play live was one of the greatest moments in my career as a trombone player. Next to that I met outstanding teachers such as Peter van Klink and Eliezer Aharon.

Working with them towards the final competition was a fantastic way to improve my abilities as a performer and develop my knowledge in the field of orchestral excerpts, as well as in solo and ensemble pieces. Not to mention how amazing it always is to see and hear Zoltan Kiss live.
A great feature of the festival was also the possibility to try out some wonderful Laetzsch instruments and mouthpieces next to getting the opportunity to buy music books, methods and sheet music all at one place. What also made it a very nice experience to be there was the chance to socialize with all the teachers and participants with a glass of a fine beverage in the small pub there which was a very nice way for me to create new friendships and professional opportunities. I am looking forward to the next edition of the festival and will gladly participate again.

- I WAS DELIGHTED TO BE A PART OF
THE LÄTZSCH TROMBONE FESTIVAL 2011
- I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A TIGHT
BOND BETWEEN FELLOW TROMBONISTS!
- IT WAS INSPIRING TO HEAR SUCH A
HIGH LEVEL OF TROMBONE PLAYING
ON A DAILY BASIS!
It has been a great experience to be part of the Lätzsch festivals in 2009 and 2011. The festival has created a fantastic balance between improving yourself as a trombonist, preparing auditions and a social gathering of trombonist from all over the world.
The festival has a great line-up of teachers like Csaba Wagner, Zoltan Kiss, Dirk Ellerkamp, Stefan Geiger and Peter van Klink, but also Monica Luijendijk who is an expert in helping you prepare mentally for an audition. With this unique combination the festival really stands out from the other festivals that I've participated.
I can't wait for the 2014 edition of the Lätzsch Festival!

When I heard about the Latzsch Trombone Festival for the first time, I was very excited because of the impressive list of guest artists, affordability of the festival, and the amount of performing opportunities available. When I arrived in Heek, Germany I was very impressed to be greeted by festival director, Ben Cruiming.
The level of artistry at the festival was incredible! With other young trombonists from around the world joining together to make music, it was hard not to be inspired! It was a great experience to perform for, and work closely with the guest artists of the festival. It was a priceless experience full of a lot of great laughs with new friends from around the world, and a lot of practicing! Whether you are a jazz, or classical musician, I highly recommend attending the Latzsch Trombone Festival. It's guaranteed to help you build your career, and make lifelong connections!
